We have spent alot of time and money tuning our 8v engines over the years and have eventually found a range of camshafts
that appeal to everyone.
Ranging from the very mild cam that can be fitted with no reamp needed to the bigger duration cam for the more serious
customer who is wanting alot more power.
The Newmans PH1 camshaft can fitted to the both black top and silver top engines without the need of an expensive remap.This
cam will see a nice increase in power though power outputs can vary on car to car depending on previous modifications etc.
This cam gives a nice smooth idle and you will have no problems with emmisions come MOT time.
The Newmans PH3 camshaft once again can be fitted to both black top and silver top engines though this cam will require
a remap of the cars ecu.This will give a bigger increase in power than the PH1 but will have a slightly rough idle.
Ideally a vernier pulley should be fitted when using this camshaft so that the cam timing can be altered on the
rolling road when getting mapped to get optimum performance.
The standard price to supply and fit either of these camshafts is:
£390 this includes new head gasket,head bolts,manifold gaskets etc.
The below items can be added if the customers wants at the prices stated below:
£35 for timing belt kit including new tensioner
£35 for cylinder head to be refaced
£35 for cylinder head to be pressure tested
£112 for vernier pulley
